Police in Dartmouth are appealing for witnesses after £744 was stolen from the Dart Steam Railway booking kiosk on 26th June.
The incident happened at around 4pm on Friday, the offender took the money and ran away.
Posting on Social media, Dartmouth Police said:
“£744 in cash was stolen from the Dart Steam Railway booking kiosk next to the Station Restaurant on the Embankment. This was an opportunistic theft; the offender simply reached into the kiosk whilst the staff members back was turned.
“The offender is a white male in his mid 40’s, bald and was wearing glsses and a dark coloured jacket. The male made off from the scene at speed, running up Raleigh Street, which runs adjacent to the Crab and Bucket pub.”
Anyone who may have witnessed anything is asked to contact Dartmouth police on 101, quoting Log 600 of the 26th June.
