Police have appealed for information after a woman was assaulted as she walked her dogs in Brixham.
The woman was approached from behind, pushed to the floor and had liquid poured on her.
The incident happened on Tuesday, 19 June on the lane towards Sharkham Point car park.
Police say that at approximately 8.10pm they received a report of a violent attack on a 53-year-old woman.
An ambulance attended and treated the victim who has suffered visible but not serious injuries.
Police believe this was a targeted attack and are seeking information from the public who may have been in the area at the time and in particular the driver of a Ford Transit type van who may be a witness to the incident.
