Police appeal for information following A38 collision

Police have appealed for information following a collision on the a38 last night (25 August)

Emergency services were called to the scene of a two-car collision involving a grey BMW Saloon and a black Nissan Derive on the A38 westbound at St Budeaux at 10.30pm

The road was closed for almost three hours as officers, as well as ambulance and fire crews attended the scene.

A 41-year-old woman was freed from a vehicle by fire crews and taken to Derriford hospital for treatment, her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A 32-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and is currently in police custody.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact police via:101@dc.police.uk or call on 101 quoting reference 1056 of 26/08/16.
