Emergency services were called to the scene of a single vehicle collision in Newton Abbot this morning, 27th June.
The incident involved a lorry which had left the road.
The lorry driver was confirmed deceased at the scene, his next of kin have been informed.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall police said: “Police were notified at around 7.30am today, Saturday 27 June, to reports of a collision involving a single lorry which had gone over the edge of the roundabout at Drumbridges, Heathfield.
“The male lorry driver of the lorry has been confirmed deceased at the scene and his next of kin have been informed.
Localised closures and diversions have been put in place by Highways while recovery is underway.
“Police are continuing with their enquiries.”
