Police have appealed for witnesses following an assault in Exeter last week.
The incident happened on 8th September on the Pinhoe trading estate. A 21 year old man was left with facial injuries.
The victim was locking up his garage on Exhibition Way between 10.45pm and 11.15pm when a young man came across the road and threw an egg at his vehicle.
When he followed the offender and challenged his actions he was set upon by a number of male youths. He was punched in the face and knocked to the ground, before being kicked and his head stamped on.
The offenders then ran off leaving the victim with a black eye and a missing tooth.
Police are investigating the assault and asking for anyone who saw the incident or has information about the offenders to contact police.
