Police appeal for witnesses following armed robbery

Police have appealed for witnesses following an armed robbery in Ivybridge yesterday, 20th September.

The incident happened last night at around 10.15pm at McColl’s in Costly Street.

Officers are investigating after reports that a store assistant was threatened with a knife and was made to open the till and give over a quantity of cash to the offender.

The offender is described as male, white, 6ft tall, and was wearing a blue coat with a hood covering his face.

Officers are requesting anyone with information to contact DS Penhaligon via 101@dc.police.uk or by calling 101 quoting crime reference CR/081207/17.

Information can also be passed on anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
