Appeal for witnesses following serious M5 collision 

​Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision near South Brent yesterday, Thursday 16th February.

The collision happened at around 9:36pm on the A38 near Avonwick, South Brent.
A motorcyclist, a 49 year old man from the Brixham area was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said:

“It is believed that a motorcyclist was riding in a group of three on the A38 in an easterly direction approaching Shell Carew Services, when one man fell from his Harley Davidson motorcycle. A Honda Civic was travelling in the same direction on the A38 when it subsequently collided with the motorcyclist who had fallen,”

Police are appealing for witnesses and would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision. Please contact 101@dc.police.uk quoting log number 892 for the 16th of February.
