Police appeal for witnesses following Ipplepen crash

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Ipplepen, which left five people injured.

Police, fire and ambulance crews and the air ambulance were called to a collision between two cars, a silver coloured MG and red Ford Focus, on the A381 Totnes Road at 1pm, Friday 10th April.

Have you seen Torbay man wanted by police?

The occupants of the MG, a woman and two young children, sustained injuries and were taken to hospital. The woman driver was taken to Derriford with serious but not life threatening injuries.

One child was taken by air ambulance to Derriford Hospital and kept in for observation. The other child was taken by ambulance to Torbay District Hospital and treated for minor injuries.

The male driver of the Ford and his female passenger were taken to Torbay District Hospital with minor injuries.

The A381 was closed at Causeway Cross and Foredown Road and reopened at 8pm.

Witnesses to the collision are asked to call police on  101 quoting 344 of 10th April 2014.
