A 74-year-old local woman driving a black BMW 318 was involved in a collision with a parked and unattended Seat Leon.

The female driver of the BMW appears to have been taken unwell at the wheel and was taken to hospital for treatment.

She was released from hospital on 18 April but died shortly after being released.

Sergeant Nick Bloomfield, from the Serious Collisions Investigation Unit, said: “Although it is highly probable that the cause of the collision was a medical episode, we would still like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision.”

Anyone with information is asked to email101@devonandcornwall.pnn.police.uk, call 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111, quoting reference 228 of 17 April.
