Police have appealed for witnesses following a serious collision on the A38 at Haldon Hill yesterday, Friday 20 December.
Emergency services were called to reports of a two-vehicle collision involving a grey Vauxhall Meriva and a cream Volvo Flat Lorry, southbound, at around 3pm.
Police have said that the driver of the Vauxhall, a woman in her 60s, sustained life-changing injuries was extracted from the car before being taken to hospital.
Police, fire and ambulance crews attended the scene.
The road was closed for around six hours while a forensic investigation took place at the scene and the vehicles were recovered. .
Police are asking for anyone who was travelling in the area between around 2.45pm and 3pm and may have seen either vehicle prior to the incident or witnessed the collision to please get in touch.
