Police appeal for information after man, 37 dies in collision

Police appeal for information after a 37-year-old male pedestrian died in a collision over the weekend.

Emergency services were called to a collision between a car and pedestrian on the A382, Newton Road in Bovey Tracey at 2.26am on Saturday 6th October.

The pedestrian, who lived in Bovey Tracey was confirmed deceased at the scene.

The road was closed whilst police investigated the collision.

Formal identification is yet to take place. His next of kin are aware and are being supported by a Family Liaison Officer.

Officers from the Alliance Roads Policing Team are investigating the collision and would ask that anyone with information contact the Police on 101 quoting the log number 147 of 6th October 2018.
