Police have appealed to the public for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Torquay.
A 33-year-old local man was involved in an altercation between 2.45-3.15am on Saturday 15 July. The victim was set upon by a group of men on the steps between Fleet Street and Madrepore Road, Torquay, resulting in him sustaining a stab wound to his back.
The man was taken to hospital but is expected to make a full recovery. It is believed that up to four men, all aged in their 20’s and wearing hoodies were involved in this attack.
Police would like to hear from anyone who has any information that can help detectives with their investigation.
Police would also like to hear from anyone who was in the area during this time, and who may have seen a group of men fleeing the area.
