Update: Peter has been found safe.
Police say they are concerned for the welfare of a man missing from Roborough, South Hams.
Peter Lawrey, 50 has autism and police say he has previously spent a lot of time in the Burrator area on Dartmoor.
Ivybridge & Rural Police posted an appeal on Facebook: “Peter Lawrey is missing from Roborough. Police are becoming increasingly concerned about his welfare. He likes woodland areas and has previously spent a lot of time in the Burrator area on Dartmoor. He also has a knowledge of Ham Woods in Plymouth and Hardwick Woods / Drunken Bridge Hill areas of Plympton.
“Peter is autistic and will avoid eye contact and conversation. He is described as being 50 year old white male with scruffy long dark hair. He is 5’11” tall (1.8m) and nineteen and a half stones in weight (124kg) with a pronounced belly.
“He was last seen wearing a grey t shirt, dark blue jeans and black trainers. He is believed to have with him a grey coloured rucksack and dark blue waterproof jacket.”
