Police in Kingsbridge have reminded people to keep an eye on elderly and vulnerable neighbours today, Tuesday, 21st November after an elderly woman was found on the floor, four days after falling.
The lady was only found after she failed to turn up to an appointment.
Police forced their way into her home and she was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Her condition is not currently known.
Posting on Facebook today, Kingsbridge Police said:
“This morning, along with Officers from Totnes, we forced entry to the property of an elderly lady. Friends alerted Police after she failed to turn up at a regular appointment. The lady was located on the floor of the address having fallen 4 days ago. She was taken by ambulance to hospital.
If you have an elderly or vulnerable neighbour then please keep an eye on them. A small action could save their life,”
