Police helicopter search for driver after Torquay crash

Emergency services were called to reports of a crash on Hellevoetsluis Way, Torquay in the early hours of this morning.

The collision on the dual carriage way, involved one vehicle. The Police helicopter joined in the search for the driver. Investigations continue.

A spokesperson for the fire service said:
“One vehicle was discovered to have been in collision with the central reservation. No casualties were discovered and the driver was believed to have fled the scene. Crews made the vehicle safe.”
