Police helicopter searches for suspect in Torquay

Man arrested after Samurai incident in Teignmouth-Update

The police helicopter was out last night searching for a suspect in Torquay.

Messages sent in to Spotted Torquay on Facebook stated that there were armed police in the Plainmoor area.

The Exeter-airport based National Police Air Service (NPAS) was launched at 7.40pm and was seen flying low in the Plainmoor, Upton and Ellacombe areas of Torquay.

The helicopter did not find the suspect and left the area.

There have been various reports on social media about details of the incident. None have been confirmed.
