Police have identified the body of a woman found in woods at the weekend.
The body, which was found headless, was found in Salcombe on Sunday 27 June. Police believe the body could have been there for some days.
The woman has now been identified by police as Mee Kuen Chong, 67, who was also known as Deborah and was originally from Malaysia but has been living in the Wembley area of London since 2004.
Police have appealed to the public to help trace her last movements. Mrs Chong was last seen in London on Thursday 10 June and reported missing to the Metropolitan Police the following day.
Police say they are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen Mrs Chong, or from any accommodation she nay have stayed in between Thursday 10 June and Sunday 27 June. They’d also like to hear from anyone who may know why Mrs Chung was in Salcombe.
Enquiries are ongoing with a high police presence around Salcombe.
If anyone has any information which could assist the enquiry, please email 101@dc.police.uk or telephone 101, quoting reference number 0700 of Sunday 27 June.
