Police in Torquay have renewed dispersal authority which is now in place until 5pm Sunday, 27th August.
Originally the Section 35 Dispersal authority under the Anti-social Behaviour was in place from yesterday morning at 7am until this evening at 5pm.
Yesterday, five people were issued with a dispersal notice and two people were arrested.
Updating on Facebook, Torquay Police said:
“Yesterdays dispersal authority for Torquay is renewed and in place from 1700hrs today until 1700hrs Sunday. Others can and will be authorised elsewhere as required,”
There have been complaints about begging, drug taking and anti-social behaviour in the town. Read more here.
