Update: The incident which Reportedly involved a man making threats at Dunboyne Court has been resolved safely by police.
Police are at the scene of an ongoing incident in Torquay.
It is thought the incident started earlier this afternoon, Monday, 12th March.
A number of police units are in the St Marychurch area including armed police.
Local residents in St Marychurch Road have said online that they have been told to stay indoors.
