Police investigating rape of man in Exeter

Trains delayed due to incident at Torre train station

Police are investigating the alleged rape of a man in Exeter.

The incident took place in the grounds surrounding St Sidwell’s Church in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday 29 March, between 4am-5:15am.

A scene guard remains in place in the area.

A 20-year-old man from the Exeter area has been arrested on suspicion of rape and remains in police custody.

Anyone with any information, or who was in the area during the time of the attack is asked to contact 101@dc.police.uk quoting crime reference CR/026317/22.
