Police Sergeant smashes window to rescue dog from hot car

A Totnes Police Sergeant rescued a dog left in a hot car today.

The dog was said to be ‘barely concious’ and was rushed to the vets.

A spokesperson for Kingsbridge Police posted on Facebook:

“A Totnes Sergeant has just smashed a car window to release a dog which was shut in.

“The dog was barely conscious and was rushed to a veterinary surgery.

“It’s cloudy and not particulary hot outside. Hopefully this shows that it doesn’t have to be a scorcher for dogs to suffer if locked in a car,”
