Prime Minister Boris Johnson visited Torbay today Friday 23rd August, visiting Torbay Hospital and Brixham.
Mr Johnson met Kitchen staff and visited Ella Rowcroft ward, where he served lunch to a patient.
Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust said on Facebook: “We were delighted to receive a visit from the Prime Minister today! He visited our kitchen to meet the staff who prepare healthy meals for our patients and then visited our Ella Rowcroft ward where he met staff and even served lunch to one of our patients. The Prime Minister also took time to meet a wide range of staff and to congratulate them on the excellent care that he had seen!”
Mum of local girl Alice Sloman, 14, who tragically died after undergoing general anaesthetic for a routine MRI scan at Torbay Hospital, approached the Prime Minister to speak to him. In a live video on social media, security are seen to tell Alice’s mum Sarah that she was on private property, she is later approached whilst in her car about the possibility of a private meeting…
Sarah later posted on Facebook: Would u Adam and eve it. We will be heard !! I did tell him ” things better change or I’m having your job”

Mr Johnson then visited Brixham, visiting the harbour area of the town.
Torbay Council said on Facebook today: “Boris Johnson’s in Brixham, visiting the harbour and fish market.
“The Prime Minister’s being shown plans for the Brixham Harbour redevelopment. The success of the town’s commercial fishing industry and marine leisure industry in the Bay is also being highlighted.
“It’s a great opportunity to emphasise the importance of central government funding for projects in Torbay.”
It’s the second visit to the Westcountry this week, Boris Johnson visited Cornwall earlier in the week, where he visited the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro.
