A documentary to raise awareness of dementia is to be filmed in Torbay this month.
The documentary will tell the story behind the Purple Angel Campaign and how one local man, Norman McNamara, has been campaigning to raise awareness of dementia since he was diagnosed seven years ago.
Norman, together with his family, friends and an army of volunteers set about creating dementia-friendly communities, running memory cafes, managing drop in centres and making a difference to all those living with dementia.
£1500 was required to fund the project and a total of £2840 was raised via Kickstarter.com for full details click here
‘Story of the Purple Angel’ will begin filming to 17th March.
