Police appeal for witnesses following racially aggravated incident

Police have appealed for witnesses following a racially aggravated incident in Exeter in December.

The incident took place at KFC, Sidwell Street on the 21st of December between 7-7:20pm. It is alleged that a customer was racially abusive to a female member of staff.

A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of using racially aggravating language that could cause alarm or distress, and has been bailed until the 24thof January pending further enquiries.

It is believed that there were a number of customers in the restaurant at the time of the incident and police would like to hear from them.
