“Full team page together with Berry Head Coastguard by Maritime and Coastguard Agency to reports of someone stuck on the cliffs at Daddyhole. Once on scene team members liaised with Devon & Cornwall Police to locate the casualty. An indirect lead was set up and our cliff man was lowered to the casualty, who had been hanging on for some time. The casualty was placed into our rescue harness and lowered to a place of safety. R106 then lowered his winch man and the casualty was then winched into the helicopter. Team members prepared a landing site so the casualty could be transferred into an awaiting ambulance. The casualty was very lucky, if you see someone in trouble call 999 and ask for the Coastguard,”
