Torbay Council will be undertaking Surface Dressing in the listed roads (below) between 8th and 10th June, please take care when using the roads and follow the advice on the signs.

-Higher Downs Road
-Grosvenor Avenue
-Hamelin Way (Southbound Only)
-Totnes Road (Cockington Village to Preston Down Road)
-Blagdon Road
-Stoke Road
-Roselands Drive
-Quarry Gardens

These dates are correct at this time, but could change as some of the work is weather dependent. The works are to be undertaken by Torbay Council’s surfacing partner Hazel & Jefferies Ltd, who will inform all the affected residents and business in writing prior to commencing the work along with pre-warning signs placed out on the sites.

Executive Lead for Community Services, Councillor Robert Excell, said: “These annual works are important to ensure that our roads and footways stay safe for everyone that uses them.

“The Council are working to minimise disruption to our roads so please ensure that you make a note of the days in which your road or area is affected and allow extra travel time if you are using any of the affected roads as there may be some delays.”

Please note, if your road is affected and you are away from your property for a number of days while the work is taking place please be mindful not to leave your vehicle on the street.
