Road closed between Torquay and Shaldon

Teignmouth Road is currently closed due to a fallen tree this morning, Saturday 2nd November.

The road is blocked between Shaldon to Maidencombe due to a large tree falling.

Teignmouth and Dawlish Neighbourhood Police said on Facebook: “Large tree down A379 Teignmouth Road from Shaldon up to Maidencombe on to Torquay, awaiting Devon Highways to clear. Please find an alternative route.

“Police are receiving a high level of calls this morning across Teignbridge with trees down including standing water. Please drive with care,”
