The A385 in Totnes is currently closed both ways at Brutus Bridge due to a collision involving a car and pedestrian.
Emergency services are at the scene.
Traffic is slow in and around the area.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said on Facebook: “Serious RTC A381 Totnes between a car and pedestrian. Pedestrian has sustained serious injuries. Road closure in place from A381 roundabout by Morrisons petrol station to the bottom of Bridgetown Hill Totnes whilst officers continue to investigate.”
