Union Street in Torquay has reopened this evening, Tuesday 16th October after being closed by police due to reports of someone with a weapon.

Police, including armed police and dog teams attended the scene around Castle Chambers, closing the road between Brunswick Terrace and Trematon Avenue.
Police were called to the incident to reports of someone with a weapon but have said that despite a search of the area, no one has been found either with a weapon or injured.
