Rowcroft Hospice has announced registration for its new family-friendly sponsored 5k, the Bubble Rush, is NOW OPEN and is offering the first 500 adults to sign up £5 off their entry fee by entering discount code WASDBUBBLE17.
The Bay’s bubbliest 5k is bursting into Torbay Velopark, Paignton, on Saturday 9 September, replacing Rowcroft’s previously popular event, The Colour Rush Paignton.
The fun run with a difference invites families with children over three-years-old to walk, dance or even toddle their way around an easy 5k route while being showered in thousands of colourful bubbles.
Daniel Robson, Rowcroft’s Events Manager, explained: “We are so excited to be bringing this bubbly, frothy and colourful 5k to South Devon!
“Entry is open to everyone over three-years-old and the route is smooth, flat and easy, making it the perfect challenge for all the family!
“We have a full day of fun planned from 11am, with music from The Breeze, a delicious selection of food and drinks stalls and the 5k itself – with cannons blowing bubbles up to four feet high along the route!”
Rowcroft is delighted to be offering the first 500 adults the chance to sign up for the frothy 5k at a discounted rate, and to have introduced its first ever family event ticket.
Daniel explained: “Full price tickets for the Bubble Rush cost £20 per adult, £8 per child (aged 3 – 16-years-old) and we’re excited to have introduced our first family ticket for two adults and two children at a cost of £40.
“We’re also delighted to be offering the first 500 adults who sign up the chance to do so for a discounted rate and would urge anyone wanting to take advantage of this offer to sign up as soon as possible!”
Rowcroft’s Bubble Rush registration fee covers the event’s running costs but the hospice then asks that families raise as much in sponsorship as possible to help local families living with life-limiting illnesses in South Devon to share precious time together.
Rachael Bryett, Rowcroft’s Head of Fundraising, explained: “In 2016 Rowcroft suffered a drastic funding shortfall and though we have regained financial stability we still need the local community to raise as much as possible to help secure the hospice’s long-term future.
