Big news – Santa will be at the Wellswood Street Party tonight!

He’s been a busy man, out on his sleigh, visiting Paignton and Torquay over the last few weeks and tonight, he will be stopping by at the Street Party – his final stop before heading back to the North Pole to prepare for Christmas.

The event on Ilsham Road starts at 5pm, the street will be closed and the businesses will be open late. You also find stalls, face painting, choirs, brass bands, a ukulele orchestra and much more.

Santa will be in Wellswood tonight

A spokesperson for Anode, who organised Santa and his sleigh said:
“We will be using the opportunity to raise funds for providing Christmas Hampers of Hope for families’ however please don’t be put off if you have no money as a Santa still has sweets come along see Santa, take pictures and get into the Christmas Spirit….

“Merry Christmas!”

Anode are a Torbay based charity looking to impact the lives of people by ‘Changing lives, giving a voice and fighting poverty’.

Clockwork Audio Systems and Redrow have kindly sponsored Santa and his sleigh to help him see as many children as possible before the big day.

Santa will be there from 5pm this evening.
