Second man arrested following hit and run

Police have arrested a second man following the hit and run on Torquay Road on Sunday morning.

A 58-year-old from Newton Abbot, on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and he awaits questioning at Torquay custody centre.

The male pedestrian involved in the collision sustained fatal injuries. His next of kin have been informed.

Police are appealing for witnesses; if anyone has any information regarding this incident please call police on 101 or101@devonandcornwall.pnn.police.uk quoting police log 103 for the 26th July.
