Police are investigating following a robbery in the St Marychurch area of Torquay this afternoon, Wednesday 22nd November.
A security guard was assaulted outside the Sainsbury’s local store. He was taken to hospital.
The area was initially cordoned off by police but this was lifted at around 4pm.
The suspects made off in a car. Police have been searching the local area. Locals have said there have been a large number of police and sniffer dogs in the surrounding streets.
