Emergency services were called to reports of a fire in St Lukes Road, Torquay early this morning.
The fire service say they had several calls alerting them to the incident.
One fire appliance from Torquay and 2 from Paignton attended the incident at around 0:55am
A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire & Rescue service said:
“On arrival, crews confirmed there was a fire on the ground floor of the property. All persons were accounted for.
“The fire was extinguished using 2 breathing apparatus wearers, 1 hose reel jet, 1 covering jet and a thermal imaging camera.
The cause of the fire was deliberate.”
