Summerhouse severely damaged in Shiphay fire

The Fire Service at the scene

The fire service were called to reports of a fire in Shiphay, Torquay this morning.

A fire engine from Torquay was mobilised to the incident in Veille Lane, Shiphay – a garden fire involving a summerhouse and trees.

A wooden summerhouse and contents plus 3 metres of hedgerow and trees were severely damaged by fire.

Crews used 1 hose reel jet, 1 drag fork and 1 hay fork used.
