Three men detained after ‘gun’ alert in Paignton

Three men have been detained by police after a ‘gun’ incident in Paignton earlier this evening.

Police were alerted to the incident around 4pm today, after claims that a gun was pointed at people on Torbay Road.

The police helicopter assisted police units on the ground.

Torbay – Firearms support and reconnaisance. Vehicle located unattended. 3 suspects located nearby. Enqs continuing. (462)

Police are now investigating the incident and have searched a property in the town centre.
