Three people released from a lift in Newton Abbot

A person was treated by an ambulance crew after being release from a lift in Newton Abbot

Fire engines from Torquay and Teignmouth were sent to a report of three people stuck within a lift at St Marys Court, Highweek Street around 10.30pm

A spokesman for the service said:

“On arrival the crew confirmed that there were three people stuck within the lift cage and that one of them had collapsed.

“Ambulance personnel were also in attendance ready to treat this casualty.

“All three people were released from the lift and the person who had collapsed was treated by the Ambulance crew.”
