Today, 4th June was the second and final day of Torbay Airshow 2017
Another fantastic day of amazing displays.
For a while, the weather wasn’t looking too great. As we left the house, it was raining. Armed with umbrellas and raincoats, we headed to Preston – Only to be greeted with sunshine. Fortunately, being British and always prepared, we had also packed suntan lotion (Which was needed!)
We arrived shortly before 2 pm. To start, there was a minutes silence following the horrific terror attack in London last night. A moving experience for all. (And a pretty surreal and confusing one for the man who cycled into it mid silence).
And to the display….
Well, if you saw my live video, you’ll know that I didn’t take my camera. I just had my phone because I spent most of yesterday looking to get a great shot and not much time with my child. So today, the camera was left at home.
Fortunately our friend Charlie Snell was there to bring you some spectacular images.
We have to remember this is only Torbay’s second airshow – well planned, well organised and we’d say, a great success. We would definitely like to see more of the same next year, this is an event that will grow and grow.
Well done to all involved.
