A fire which destroyed one car and damaged another in Torquay this morning, 8th November is thought to have been started deliberately.
The fire service was called to the fire in an open garage at flats in Lummaton Place just before 5.30am.
Crews from Torquay, put out the fire using one hose reel jet and breathing apparatus. Positive pressure ventilation was used to remove smoke from the staircase of the building.
A fire investigation officer and police attended in the daylight. It was then confirmed the most likely cause was deliberate ignition.
