Ever wanted to watch some of the best classic movies ever made, as they should be seen – on the big screen? Well now is your chance, as Torquay Museum launches its Classic Film Club, every Thursday afternoon from November until Christmas.

Every week, at 2pm on a Thursday afternoon, classics such as Dial M for Murder and Some Like it Hot, will be screened in Torquay Museum’s 130 seat cinema using its brand new high definition projector, for a modest £4 per film.

Film-goers can even have a delicious home-made lunch in the Museum’s cafe before they watch the film, for a combined price of £9 for lunch and a film – booking for lunch is essential. The next movie to be screened will be the classic romantic comedy, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, starring the iconic Audrey Hepburn, on Thursday 14th November at 2pm.

Other classic movies that will be screened over the coming weeks include Rear Window, Some Like It Hot and White Christmas.

Tickets for forthcoming films can be purchased on the day at Torquay Museum’s Ticket Desk. Booking for the pre-film lunch is essential as places are limited – call Torquay Museum for details of the menu and to book your table. For details of all of the films in Torquay Museum’s Classic Film Club Autumn/Winter season, visit the website, www.torquaymuseum.org, or telephone 01803 293975.
