Torquay seafront closed-Diversions in place

Torquay seafront has been closed this evening.

A diversion is in place but the council have warned the diversion route is affected by snow and ice.

Torbay Council posted to Facebook at 19:30hrs this evening, Sunday, 18th March: “Torquay seafront has been closed due to hazards from high waves. Please be aware that the diversion route is compromised with snow and ice and is difficult to treat due the inclines in this area. Please avoid where possible.”

An Amber weather warning for snow has been issued by the met office.
