Torquay supermarket cordoned off by police

A Torquay supermarket has been cordoned off by police due to an incident this afternoon, Wednesday 29th May.

Lidl on Newton Road has been cordoned off, along with a property opposite the store.

Police are at the scene.

Lidl car park has been emptied.

Newton Road remains open both ways. There are no delays to traffic.

The nature of the incident which has caused the areas to be cordoned off is currently unknown.
