Two men released on bail follwing stabbing incident in Torquay

Trains delayed due to incident at Torre train station

Two men who were arrested in connection with an assault on in Torquay have been released on bail.

Emergency services attended an address on Warren Road at around 10pm on Monday 17 January following reports of a disturbance.

A man in his 30’s had sustained a number of stab wounds. He was taken to Torbay Hospital with serious injuries.

A 38-year-old man from Rotherham area and a 51-year-old local man have both been released on police bail until 11 February 2022

Another man who was arrested in connection with the incident, a 29-year-old, remains in police custody on a separate matter.

Anyone with any information that could aid officers with the investigation, including CCTV of the surround area, is asked to contact 101 or 101@dc.police.uk quoting crime reference CR/004830/22.
