UCSD anticipates highest number of attendees at graduation ceremony

University Centre South Devon and it’s large number of successful students are looking forward to what will be an exciting graduation ceremony.

It’s taking place at the Riviera International Conference Centre (RICC), Torquay, on 13th September at 4pm, with doors open from 12:30pm.

With record numbers this year of around 1200 people attending the ceremony in total, 269 of those being graduates, the atmosphere is going to be more exciting than it ever has before with plenty of cause for celebration.

Principal and CEO of South Devon College, Laurence Frewin, said: “I am very excited to celebrate alongside our hard-working students and staff, reflecting on the fantastic achievements that have happened over the last academic year. I’m also looking forward to being joined by representatives, Professor Julian Chaudbury and Julie Swain, from our valued partner, University of Plymouth. It fills me with pride to see the Higher Education provision grow and expand in line with our vision for the future of University Centre South Devon.”

With the accreditation of Foundation Degree Awarding Powers in May, this will be the last graduation ceremony before we also start to see students being awarded foundation degrees that are written and approved solely by the College, continuing alongside those from University of Plymouth.

If you have any questions or queries regarding the graduation ceremony in the meantime, please email graduation@southdevon.ac.uk.

If you’re interested in studying a degree with University Centre South Devon, come along to the UCSD Open Event on Saturday 7th September 2019 from 10am-2pm, at UCSD, Long Road, Paignton, TQ4 7EJ.
