Police are continuing their enquiries today following an accident in Torquay last night.
Belgrave Road was closed for approximately 2 hours following a collision between a car and a pedestrian.
Emergency services were called to the incident at 7.55pm to reports of a collision involving a Vauxhall Astra car and pedestrian on Belgrave Road, Torquay, near the fish and chip shop.
The pedestrian, an 84 year old man, was taken to Torbay hospital.
A spokesperson for the police has stated that the injuries were serious but non-life threatening.
Enquiries into the collision are on-going
