Vehicles destroyed in fire near Totnes

Three vehicles were destroyed in a fire near Totnes last night.

The fire service were called to the fire at Dundridge, Harberton just after 10pm.

One fire engine from Totnes was mobilised to the incident.

A spokesperson for the fire service said:
“On arrival crews discovered three vehicles well alight in a storage yard and requested a second appliance to help deal with the fire. The second appliance from Totnes was mobilised.

“Crews used two breathing apparatus and two hose reels to extinguish the fire with use of lighting.”

The two cars and one van were one hundred per cent damaged by the fire with approximately ten metres of hedgerow also affected by the fire.
