The water feature will not be reopened before the end of the season.

The park remains open as normal and the water play feature at The Den in Teignmouth is open as normal.

A spokesperson for Teignbridge Leisure said on social media: “We’re sorry that we’ve had to switch off the Water Play feature at Decoy Park due to a recent failed sample from a routine water testing. As it’s likely to take 2-3 weeks for investigation into the source and for testing results to come back, unfortunately it won’t be reopened in time for the end of the season (8 September).”

“We know this will cause disappointment for park users and families, but we’ve had to take this precautionary measure to ensure public safety is maintained. The nearest water play feature is at The Den in Teignmouth.”
