What Next? Torbay

(Last Updated On: November 12, 2020)

‘What Next? Torbay’ was formed in April 2020 out of the coronavirus crisis to bring together people working in arts, culture and heritage across Torquay, Paignton, Brixham and the surrounding areas.

The conversations are supportive, generous and democratic, building a collective voice for Torbay’s culture locally, regionally, nationally and with an emphasis on individual actions towards change.

‘What Next? Torbay’ is led by a small steering group of Torbay-based cultural leaders. Anyone working in arts, culture and heritage in Torbay and the vicinity is welcome to join the conversation.

We meet online using the Zoom video conferencing platform, fortnightly on Thursday 9.30am – 10.30am.

You can find out meeting dates at www.torbayculture.org/networks and to receive joining instructions, please sign up to the mailing list by emailing whatnexttorbay@gmail.com.

Then just turn up and join in!

You can join us on our social media pages, follow us on Facebook or Twitter and keep up to date with whats going on in South Devon.

Kevin Dixon went to Audley Park – now Torquay Academy – and South Devon College when it was at Torre. After studying at Birmingham City University, he returned home because there’s nowhere else quite like Torquay. He then became involved in community and adult education, completed a PhD at Exeter University , and started writing about the weird and unknown side of town. He now Chairs Healthwatch Torbay and is involved in health and social care in the Bay.
