A woman was airlifted to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth today, Wednesday 27 November, following a collision at Torbay Hospital.
Emergency services were called at around 10.50am to reports of a collsion between a vehicle and building.
Fire crews, paramedics, two air ambulances, police and hospital staff attended the incident.
Police have stated that a number of people within the building were injured.
One woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Several other people sustained minor injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 60s, was treated at the hospital for his injuries.
Roads in and around the hospital were closed, along with 2 car parks to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.
