Woman dies after being hit by car on South Devon Highway

A woman has died after being hit by a car on the South Devon Highway late last night, Monday 27 July.

Emergency services were called to reports reports of a collision on the A380 involving a car and a pedestrian at around 11pm.

Police, ambulance and the air ambulance attended the scene.

The woman, a local 48-year-old was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.

The road was closed in both directions whilst there was a full forensic examination.

Investigating officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the woman travelling on foot in the area of St Luke’s road and Aller Brake road prior to the collision or anyone who may have relevant dash-cam footage.

Anyone who witnessed the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101@dc.police.uk quoting log 923 27/7/20.
